Core Beliefs
Fordham Manor Church is part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Our faith is rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ.
We believe in one God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — and that salvation is found through Jesus Christ.
What we believe
-
We believe in one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
[Deuteronomy 6:4 · Matthew 28:19 · 2 Corinthians 13:14]
-
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He died for our sins, rose from the dead, and will come again.
[Philippians 2:6–11 · 1 Peter 3:18 · Acts 2:23–24]
-
We believe the Holy Spirit lives within believers, guides us, teaches us, and gives us power to live and serve.
[John 14:16–17 · John 16:13 · Acts 1:8]
-
We believe the Old and New Testaments are God's inspired Word and our foundation for faith and life.
[2 Timothy 3:16–17 · 2 Peter 1:20–21 · Psalm 119:105]
-
We believe salvation is a gift from God through Jesus Christ. Through repentance and faith in Him, we receive new life and become children of God.
[Ephesians 2:8–9 · John 3:16 · Romans 10:9–10
-
We believe the Church is the community of people who follow Jesus. Together, we worship, pray, grow in God's Word, serve one another, and share the Gospel.
[Matthew 28:19–20 · Acts 2:42–47 · 1 Corinthians 12:27]
-
We believe God cares for the whole person. We believe in the power of prayer and in God's provision for healing.
[James 5:13–16 · Philippians 4:6–7 · Psalm 103:2–3]
-
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly. His return is our hope and motivates us to live faithfully.
[Acts 1:11 · 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 · Revelation 22:12]
