Dear Fordham Manor Friends and Family,

I’m writing to alert you to recent decisions that our pastoral team made in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have been closely monitoring the spread of Coronavirus, now officially declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization.

LIFEGROUPS, YOUNG ADULTS & PRAYER MEETING CANCELLED AT CHURCH

All groups that meet during the week will be cancelled until further notice. We are doing our part as a church and community to comply with social distancing standards recommended by medical professionals.

SUN.  SERVICES CANCELLED THROUGH SUN, MARCH 29th

The health and safety of our congregation is still our #1 priority, and this difficult decision was made to protect Fordham Manor families, volunteers, staff and our broader communities.

PRAYER ONLINE & PHONE PRAYER THIS WEDNESDAY AT 7PM

Join us for prayer online. During our prayer time, we will be looking to take your requests via Facebook. Please join us as we storm heaven together looking to the Lord for intervention, healing and wisdom.

If you do not have access to the internet, we will be setting up a phone prayer meeting that you can join on the phone. That phone conference call will begin at 7pm. Call the church office for more information on how to join the conference call at 718-796-4980. We will update on Wed with more info

CHURCH ONLINE THIS SUNDAY AT 11AM

The good news is: We will be hosting a LIVE WEEKEND SERVICE online that you can connect via Facebook live. Services will be available after the live streaming on Facebook, Youtube and online at Fordhammanor.org

Through this season of uncertainty, we have the assurance that Jesus is with us in the middle of the storm. He is able to calm the anxiety, fear and worry that we all face because he is the Prince of Peace.

I love you all and can’t wait to worship together again in person.

With confidence in Christ,

Pastor Joe

A message from Pastor Joe Hernandez

Hi Fordham Manor family & friends,

I’m writing to alert you to a decision our pastoral team made in light of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). We have been closely monitoring the spread of Coronavirus, now officially declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization.

SERVICES CANCELLED - CHURCH ONLINE ONLY

I wanted to let you know that out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel our Sunday service for at least the next three Sundays (Sun, March 15, Sun, March 22 and Sun March 29) at Fordham Manor Church. The health and safety of our congregation is our #1 priority, and this difficult decision was made to protect Fordham Manor families, volunteers, staff and our broader communities.

As of today, there are no known cases of Coronavirus reported by anyone attending or affiliated with Fordham Manor Church. However, global experience is showing that limiting the crowd size of gatherings is a protection against the virus.

LIFEGROUPS, PRAYER & TEENS

As of right now our LifeGroups will be meeting throughout the week. Groups that have more than 10 people will be split into smaller groups in different spaces. We encourage you to stay in contact with your small group leaders even if you are unable to attend the groups.

The teens will be canceling their Young Life Club on Friday nights but will be meeting in small groups through the week.

Prayer night will take place Wed at 7pm.

CHURCH ONLINE AT 12PM THIS SUNDAY

The good news is: We will be hosting a LIVE WEEKEND SERVICE online that you can connect via Facebook live. Services will be available after the live streaming on Facebook, Youtube and online at Fordhammanor.org

This Sunday, March 15th, our online service will start at 12pm. The following Sundays will start at our regular 11am start time.

As part of worship, you can also continue to give online on our website or via text.

Friends, I want you to know that the decision to cancel service is not made out of fear, but a spirit of wisdom. Through this season of uncertainty and though no one can predict what tomorrow brings, we have the assurance that Jesus is with us in the middle of the storm. He is able to calm the anxiety, fear and worry that we all face because he is the Prince of Peace. He’s not surprised by any of this and remember:

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”  2 Timothy 1:7

We have not been here before but we have the confidence that God is already ahead of us. With His help we will get through this season when our normal routines get shaken up.

I love you all and can’t wait to worship together again in person.

With confidence in Christ,

Pastor Joe

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: Has anyone at Fordham Manor tested positive for Coronavirus?
