Wednesday February 21--6:00p.m.--the importance of living a healthy life and how it effect your ability to break disruptive behaivor. This will be geared towards hunger for healing.
Wednesday February 28th--6:00 p.m.: HIV and it's effects on the black and latino community. Elder Jurema will be sharing statistics and demonstrate through sharing examples of case studies of how it has effected our communities. She will share ways of avoiding contracting the virus behond safe sex. She will also address how HIV effects the church community and how many people in the church are in denial of HIV virus in their families.
Saturday March 3rd 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.:Mental health it will be a workshop on stress management and how to identify stressors in your life. It will focus on the role of the family as a supportive vehicle and as an additional stressor particularly handling children. there will also be exercises that will assist the participants in alleviating stress and will demonstrate how to conduct these exercises at work and at home. It will also touch on being a single parent and the diffiuclties of taking care of children, working and handling a household.
Saturday March 31, 2007: this workshop will deal with the Sancitity of Life. It will be conducted by the Executive Director of the boro Pregnancy Counseling Center. she will focus on the importance of the sanctity of a human life. she will also address issues of sexualtiy and abstinence for teens and woman who are also exposed tothe HIV virus.
